Réalt is a professional vocal consort built around the art of one-to-a-part singing.
The name comes from the Irish word for star. It captures what we are about: the clarity, intimacy, and expressive power that emerge when every voice carries its own line. Like stars in the night sky, each singer shines with individual presence while contributing to something larger than themselves. No voice is hidden. No line is incidental. Every phrase is part of a shared musical conversation.
Réalt explores unaccompanied vocal music from across the centuries, bringing together medieval and Renaissance polyphony, contemporary works, folk traditions, and newly commissioned pieces. We are not defined by a single period or style. What unites us is transparency of texture, depth of expression, and music that rewards close listening. The extraordinary possibilities of four independent human voices.

Réalt forms part of a wider artistic vision alongside Meitheal, a chamber choir dedicated to community, accessibility, and the celebration of Irish culture through choral music.
While Meitheal explores the collective power of many voices, Réalt explores the expressive potential of four. Together they create two complementary ensembles united by a shared commitment to artistic excellence, new music, and meaningful musical experiences.
